2015 Optometry's Meeting Course Recording - As the primary eye care provider, optometrists play a critical role in the diagnosis, treatment and education of patients with cataracts. Each year, there are over 3 million cataract surgeries performed in the United States. With the increase in surgery, there are greater patient expectations and patients' demand great outcomes. This course will review the role that optometry plays in the peri-operative care of our cataract patients including advances in cataract surgery and managing cataract complications.
