2014 Optometry's Meeting Course Recording - This symposium will allow three esteemed glaucoma experts discuss issues related to the clinical management of glaucoma. Included will be a discussion on the concept of aqueous misdirection. This complication is occasionally seen after intraocular surgery. The condition will be described including its etiology diagnosis and therapy. Another theme will be how glaucoma presents in different ways around the world. The importance for clinicians to be able to recognize the manifestations of the same condition in individuals from different countries will be discussed. Finally the importance of reference or normative databases in the use of optical coherence tomography which is becoming a commonly used test in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma will be described.
