This course presents strategies for the most effective use of structural imaging in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma. Numerous case presentations are used to illustrate how imaging technologies optimize glaucoma care. Differentiation of the patient with glaucoma from the suspect and glaucoma progression are covered. Emphasis is also placed on the integration of imaging with other modalities such as visual fields.
- The optometrist will: 1. Utilize imaging data to optimize glaucoma detection. 2. Utilize imaging data to optimize glaucoma management. 3. Understand the limitations of current imaging technology. 4. Utilize imaging data alongside visual field data in the management of glaucoma. 5. Recognize what changes in glaucoma imaging are on the horizon. 6. Improve their management of glaucoma in their offices.
